India Day Four: ITC Hotel Jaipur

During our 2 nights in Jaipur, we stayed at ITC Rajputana. From the website:

Experience the finest luxury hotel in Jaipur - ITC Rajputana. We’re proud to offer the best accommodations in the city with a host of comforts and services in settings that reflect the spirit of Rajasthan and its royalty.

Designed to echo the traditional havelis of the region, ITC Rajputana has a red brick exterior rising to different levels around a central area. Long corridors, secluded courtyards and simplified lattice work recall Rajasthani architecture in a modern uncluttered and contemporary idiom and bring alive the spirit of Rajasthan and makes it distinguished amongst the luxury hotels of Jaipur. Discover all that Rajasthan has to offer while staying at the ITC Rajputana .

Stepping inside ITC Rajputana's impressive lobby, I was reminded of the palaces we have visited during our first four days in India.

Our well-appointed room was spacious. We, however, were billeted in the old wing which was a long walk from the lobby.

When we arrived from Fatehpur Sikri, we were tired and no longer wanted to go out for dinner. Good thing there are many options at ITC Rajputana. The beautiful Sheesh Mahal bar was so tempting...

but we decided to have a proper meal at Chandravanshi Pavilion.

Chandravanshi Pavilion is ITC Rajputana's multi-cuisine 24 hour restaurant. Food we ordered was nothing to write home about but at least it gave us a break from all the Indian food we had been consuming.

We decided to order an Indian dessert to finish our lackluster meal:

Breakfast at ITC Rajputan is at the beautiful Jal Mahal. I just wasn't able to take pictures of the spread  but it had the widest selection from all the hotels we checked in.

In hindsight, ITC Rajputana was one of my favorite hotels during our trip and the fact that we didn't even have to break the bank to stay there made the experience all the more pleasurable.

ITC Rajputana is located at Jaipur Palace Road, Jaipur 302006, Rajasthan, India  For more information, call (91)(141) 5100100 or click here.
